The protagonist, Liang, is a bandit who lives off robbing and killing with his partner in crime Shi Xing, nicknamed Tongue. One day, they receive a petition asking to transport four little girls to a certain rich man in the city of Luoyang who would like to take them in as adopted daughters or servants.
